Senior Principal Architect – Functional Safety, Ethernovia (US)
With 20+ years of experience in the Automotive and Semiconductors industries Oscar Ballan has been working on functional safety engineering since 2008, leading different organizations on the implementation of the safety culture and best practices needed for the development and the production of Automotive components and systems. Previously working in STMicroelectronics, Xilinx and Cruise-GM he is now leads since April 2020 the functional safety engineering activity in Ethernovia, a startup focused on Ethernet products for Automotive applications. Oscar Ballan is co-author of different publications related to software fault grading, fault injection, FMEDA methodology and particle radiation experiments on integrated circuits for functional safety metrics evaluation. He got an MS degree in Electronic Engineering at University of Padova and an MBA at Hult International Business School, London campus.
